PIGEON DISTRICT LIBRARY
"Be Creative @ Your Library"
2009 Summer Reading Program
June 8- July 11
How the Program Works
1. Beginning May 26th, children 5 years of age by August 31st
through Grade 8 may register at the library for the reading program. Make sure you have your library card with you when you register.
2. Age eligible children who live outside the library's service area
but attend a school in our service area (Caseville, Cross Lutheran, Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port, St. John's Lutheran) may also register for the program when they bring in a school report card. Eligibility of home schooled children will be determined by school district boundaries.
3. Decide how many books you plan to read during the five week
program. Then pick up a contract at the library, sign it with your parents, and return it to the library.
4. We'll be offering a variety of activities, give aways, and
contests throughout the program, so pick up a calendar and drop in as often as possible. Only those who are registered may participate in the SRP activities.
5. "Musical Notes" will be given for books that are read, recorded,
and returned to the library by July 11th.
6. Participants will be invited to the reading program party with
"Ronald McDonald" on July 16th at 7:00 PM
7. Throughout the program, we have planned several programs
for the entire family. Don't miss out on the fun!
